Have you been wanting to try new foods? Have you been looking for new places to go out with your friends? Have you been wondering if there were any good places to visit near PHS?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, you need to try Fat Zach’s Wood Fired Pizza.

Located next to the Sparks Stadium and only a 10-minute walk (two-minute drive) from PHS, this restaurant is conveniently located close to school and is easily accessible.

They are open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Store hours may vary depending on the holidays.

Ever since Fat Zach’s rolled onto Pioneer and Second in 2018, they have been serving the citizens of Puyallup with mouth-watering pizzas that are unforgettable.

The restaurant first made its debut as a food truck that you can still see driving around the town of Puyallup, Fat Zach’s has been offering everyone the same amazing pizza in Sumner and Puyallup, and we are excited to inform you that a third location is on its way. This new store will be their biggest store yet and will be located on 10219 132ND ST E, on South Hill.

Not only does Fat Zach’s offer wonderful food, but also has a warm atmosphere with friendly employees.

“It’s a very fun environment. You create a lot of good friendships here,” Store manager Lidnsee Rounds said.

Rounds says that one thing that the employees at Fat Zach’s take pride in is how the restaurant started up.

Zach John first found his love of pizza when he was invited to his friend’s birthday party and his friend’s dad brought in multiple boxes of pizza for everyone to enjoy. He realized then, how much joy pizza is able to bring everyone.

As he grew up, pizza had always been something John looked forward to whether it be eating out with family or celebrating a sports win at a pizza place with teammates. Once he became an adult, John was able to build his very own pizza stove in his backyard and enjoy his handmade pizza with friends and family.

Owner and founder Zach John says that the community has been a large part of their success. He says that if he could tell them anything, he would want the community to know how much he, and his business, value them.

“Thank you for all your support. We wouldn’t have been able to grow this much without the love and support of everyone who eats our pizza and we’re grateful for you,” Zach John said.

Fat Zach’s has a variety of menu options from the #NBD to the classic Fat Zach.

If you love meat, you’ll love the Fat Zach. Topped with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon and linguica, this pizza is decked with diverse and appetizing deli options that will make you come back for seconds.

The #NBD is a unique pizza option you can only find here at Fat Zach’s, topped with dill pickles over the original Fat Zach’s ranch and was created one morning when Zach John was preparing the milk bottle for his infant son and he decided to grab a couple pickles to snack on and thought “wouldn’t it be interesting to put this onto a pizza?” Now it is a fan favorite and a must order menu item every time you visit the restaurant.

Another fan favorite is the Mama Rita. With fresh mozzarella, basil, balsamic glaze, olive oil, and tomato sauce, this rich pizza brings a new level of enjoyment to the table.
