Debate qualifies for National Competition

Four students qualified to the National Speech and Debate tournament.

Juniors Jacob Wolf and Keanan Taute placed first in Policy Debate.

In Public Forum Debate, seniors Andre Earls and McKenna Mains were undefeated throughout the seven round tournament to place first in Western Washington.

Additionally, sophomore Kelty Pierce is the first alternate to nationals in Original Oratory. Junior Nick Crain and sophomore SooBeom Kim are the first alternate in Policy Debate.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Puyallup High School was awarded first place for Debate in the Team Sweepstakes competition.
