Spanish club provides students interested in language with the opportunity to gather together and learn about the cultures of various Spanish-speaking countries.
Spanish teacher Nicholas O’Neill heads the club held in portable five during either of the last two Thursdays of each month.
“[Spanish club members] learn about cultural celebrations from many different Spanish-speaking countries,” O’Neill said. “We also like to create different types of arts and crafts and we have had cooking days where we cook different types of foods.”
Each meeting varies from half-an-hour to an hour long and is open to anyone who wishes to join.
“I would recommend Spanish club for students who enjoy language and learning about other cultures. It is a really fun way to get connected with other students who are interested in similar things,” O’Neill said.
