“I think we can learn the importance of fire safety,” Karen J. LaFlamme, public relations counsel for the Washington State Fair, said.

“That building was built in the 1920s so it was really like an old barn,” Public Relations Counsel for the Washington State Fair Karen J. LaFlamme said. “[Its reconstruction] is where our board of directors is going to take their time to determine what is the best use for the current day. I think the reason is that back then we used the Fair facilities for the Fair only and we never rented them out. Now the Fair is used year-round for so many different events. We want to make sure that whatever we put in there is going to be a multi-use facility.”
