"That building was built in the 1920s so it was really like an old barn," Public Relations Counsel for the Washington State Fair Karen J. LaFlamme said. "[Its reconstruction] is where our board of directors is going to take their time to determine what is the best use for the current day. I think the reason is that back then we used the Fair facilities for the Fair only and we never rented them out. Now the Fair is used year-round for so many different events.
