Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a community service club that meets every Monday at 2:35 p.m. in room 111.
FCCLA went to State last year with their project on Freezing Nights, according to the club president Mikayla Stewart.
“We did a project on Freezing Nights at the homeless shelter. Last year State was in Wenatchee and you present your project to a group of judges. You can either get bronze, silver or gold and we got gold,” Stewart said.
One project FCCLA plans on doing Freezing Nights again this year.
“We do a lot of community service. We volunteer at Freezing Nights from November to April. There we feed to homeless and we provide a place to stay [for them]. We are right now doing a backpack drive and that [collects] food for the kids here,” Stewart said.
