Vikings will face the Rogers Rams Oct. 31 for the battle of the year: the Homecoming game.
Coach Gary Jeffers says he is exhilarated to be putting his team against the Rams.
“Viking football players are always prepared and excited for their games,” Jeffers said. “But playing Rogers for Homecoming is extra special.”
Leadership and English teacher Jamie Mooring has been working hard with the Halloween theme and receiving decorations for the game with the help of her Leadership staff.
“There will be decorations of the stadium that are both purple, gold and theme-related as provided by parents who always help us out with the stadium,” Mooring said. “Spirit swag [will be] given away, also bought by parents.”
The Puyallup Vikings football team is currently 2-5 for the 2014 football season.
“We prepare each week through film study and practice for our upcoming opponent,” Jeffers said.
The anticipation for the game is rising and the leadership class is ready to please the Viking crowd.
“Of course Viktor will be riding the car-bash car,” Mooring said. “We will have the same organized crowd involvement that unifies our crowd and looks intimidating to opposing schools.”

Suzanne Stone, Print Editor
Hi! I am Suzy Stone and I have the privilege of being The Viking Vanguard's Print Editor for the 2015-2016 school year.
I am obsessed with taking naps, watching trashy reality TV and all things Disney.
I love page layout and being able to help the other staffers learn the ropes so that one day they could be in the same position that I am in.
I am originally from Bellevue, Wash. but I am blessed to have grown up in Puyallup for the majority of my life. I have participated on PHS' Gymnastics team, Swim team and Greater Puyallup Valley Young Life.
I am so thankful for my Vanguard family that I have become so close to.
