HOSA continues to prepare club members for future

Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) helps prepare students for a future in both medical and health fields.

Students who are interested in medical professions are encouraged to join this club. HOSA not only pushes members to participate and lead in community service efforts but HOSA also prepares students for further training and careers in medical fields.

HOSA meetings are held every Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. Their first meeting takes place Sep. 17. There are no prerequisites to join this club.

Senior Emily Olson, the president of HOSA, has been in the club for three years and has had great experiences.

“My favorite event is when we go down to the children’s therapy unit at Good Samaritan Hospital and put on a Christmas party for them,” Olson said.

This club has been in operation for five years and is a nationally-recognized organization with clubs placed in high schools around the nation.
