Math teacher and cross-country coach Sandy Monaghan, shares why she decided to become a teacher.
“When I was in a college science class, I got in trouble for talking too much and I was like ‘I should get a job where I get paid to talk and that would be a really good job for me because I am really good at talking to people,’” Monaghan said.
Monaghan was the head cross-country coach here at PHS before she was a teacher. She is a single mom of four kids.
“I am a handy person. I have to be. I do not know what else [I do] besides running because I run not only with my team, I run outside of that. That has been a really big part of my life,” Monaghan said.
