Leadership students prepare for AWSL

Homecoming.
Winter Wishes.
Renaissance.
What do all of these things have in common?
These are all just a few of the events Leadership covers and provides to the student body throughout the school year.
According to ASB President Kenton Robillard, Leadership tries to recognize as many students as possible for a variety of reasons.
“Leadership celebrates achievements. We try to not only celebrate some kids but all the things that do not always get recognized like sports, GPA’s, clubs and attendance,” senior Robillard said.
People may have a misconception that Leadership only makes posters but, according to sophomore Gabby Horton, this is not true.
“Leadership is about showing people what it is to be a part of a team and how to be a leader. We want to get kids involved and make sure the events we plan run smoothly,” Horton said.
So what does a typical day in Leadership look like?
“During class we split into groups and some people paint posters or plan events like teacher appreciation, new student recognition. We are planning on putting up a banner with everyone’s birthday and we have a big leadership conference coming up,” Horton says.
