District to provide Microsoft products

The Puyallup School District, partnered with Microsoft, is planning to provide access to Microsoft products, such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel. The partnership also provides one terabyte of Cloud storage for students.

Director of Instructional Leadership Mark Knight states that the goal of providing these services is to help students complete assignments as well as making technology more accessible.

“We are trying to increase our capabilities; they can have access on devices and have organizational tools to have better grades,” Knight said.

The products are ready for students but the District wants to troubleshoot problem areas before officially rolling them out.

“It is coming soon; to be honest we are still training ourselves. Staff have gotten training Oct. 9 from Microsoft, we are just scratching the surface,” Knight said.
