Girls wrestling is a sport often overlooked in high schools but at PHS, the lady wrestlers are gearing up and confident for the upcoming season.
“This season should be pretty good with a lot of new faces,” Coach Dani Andrews said.
Andrews is looking for a bounce back this season after the girls went 4-3-1 last year.
Andrew said there were two athletes to watch this year.
“Two girls to watch out for are [senior] Brooke and [sophomore] Myah Mullins,” Andrews said.
The sisters should have a big impact on this season, Andrews said and will be looked to as leaders due to their past accomplishments.
Both Brooke and Myah won State last season for their weight class and now look to repeat that feat and bring home another state title.
