West Pioneer Grill is a delicious restaurant that takes brunch to the next level with their delicious varieties of food, quick and efficient customer service and their interesting takes on certain popular foods.  

West Pioneer Grill is located right near the library at 109 W Pioneer Ave in Puyallup. It’s open Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7p.m., Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s rated 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp.  

The service was extremely quick and I was able to get all of our food and eat in less than 30 minutes. The woman who was serving me was extremely kind and attentive. She was super-fast to ask me what I wanted to order, and the food and drinks were absolutely wonderful. The strawberry lemonade was fresh and powerful and the smores milkshake was the perfect balance between chocolate, graham cracker and whipped cream. The potato skins were also delicious and the pesto sauce on top provided a unique, but pleasant experience. Lastly, the biscuits and gravy were heavenly. They were filled to the brim with flavor. They were thick and buttery and the gravy on top went perfectly with the savory meal.  

There wasn’t much to dislike about the experience at this restaurant, but there were a couple things I wasn’t a personal fan of. The French toast and bacon could’ve been better. I personally found it difficult to swallow the bacon due to an odd taste, and the French toast, despite tasting just fine, was simply too standard and unmemorable for me to care for it, especially in comparison to the other meals that were presented to us.  

The meal cost around $61, and with tip I paid $81; it was worth it. The woman who served me was extremely nice, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, I got my entire order within 20 minutes, and the food was delightful. If you ever get the chance, you should absolutely go there and try it for yourself. You won’t regret it.
