Coronavirus confirmed cases continue around world

The total number infected from COVID-19 has passed 670,000 and shows no signs of slowing down; the world death total from COVID-19 has surpassed 30,000, according to John Hopkins University. 

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a travel advisory for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, where Coronavirus has hit America the hardest. 

On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, the United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has tested positive for coronavirus, announced to all residents to stay home and inside during the country’s lockdown. 

“Things will get worse before they get better,” Johnson said. 

The United Kingdom has surpassed 1,000 known deaths.

Locally, in Pierce County, there have been a total of seven deaths and 571 confirmed cases of coronavirus reported as of April 3.
