Grant Huson, Co-Editor in Chief
Grant Huson is a senior at Puyallup High School and Co-Editor in Chief of The Viking Vanguard newspaper. Huson joined Viking Student Media because he enjoys sharing the stories of those who may not be heard otherwise. When he isn’t writing, Huson can be found playing the steel drum, volunteering at The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, and representing school spirit as his alter-ego “Purple Guy.”
In the future, Huson hopes to work in the field of marine biology and better humanity’s understanding of the ocean.
Huson has been recognized by the Washington Journalism Education Association with an Honorable Mention ranking in a Group Project and by the Journalism Education Association with an Honorable Mention ranking in Sports Writing. Huson is also a member of the Quill & Scroll International Honorary Society for High School Journalists.
