Last year, I took a culinary class for my CTE credits, and in that class, I learned how to make homemade pizza bagels. I thought to myself that maybe somebody out there needed a recipe that doesn’t take long and is a refresher from a simple microwaved dish! So, here is the recipe from me to you.
To start the recipe, you need to preheat your oven to 375 degrees, and you will need to make sure that you have: a baking pan, parchment paper, oven mitts, a bagel, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and any toppings you decide to choose!
- While you wait for your oven to finish preheating, have your baking pan and parchment paper ready for your bagel halves.
- Separate your bagel using a knife (or your hands, your choice.) and put the bagel haves on your parchment paper.
- After the oven finishes preheating, put your bagel halves in for 5 minutes to make the bagel slightly toasted.
- After your bagel is slightly toasted, put your sauce, cheese, and toppings of your choice on the bagel. (It is okay if you accidentally put too much sauce, cheese, or toppings on the bagel- nobody’s perfect!)
- After you put the sauce, cheese and toppings on the bagel, put it back in the oven for 10 minutes
- Once the bagel is done, take it out and enjoy!
